Originally ordered a large, which has lasted over a year with a now 2.5 year old Golden Retriever. Just ordered a replacement (old one was finally getting gross, strings were breaking from tug of war, and the squeaker stopped working) and the new toy definitely was NOT a large, although it is listed as "NCAA Plush Football Dog Toy, Large, University of Miami Hurricanes." New toy is significantly smaller (on the border of being too small for a large dog) and the plush fabric is not as nice. Disappointed that a great toy seems to have decreased in quality as well as the size issue.

I was surprised by the size of this plush toy--it is definitely a "Medium", if not "Medium-Large." So if you are inclined to purchase this for a small or miniature canine, just know that it will be a HUGE "mouthful"--probably way too big for him/her to really clutch. Also, know that the product is "Made in China"--there have been reports that materials used there are toxic--from the stuffing to the coloring used (akin I suspect to the "contaminated" or poisonous dog food made in China that was imported to the US...and caused severe illness, even death, in dogs who ate it.) So beware. Otherwise, the design is nice. Go Buckeyes!

I have not purchased this item, but I feel that they need to clarify the name. I am a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University, and a student of the University of Oklahoma, but they are not the same thing; in fact, the two are in-state rivals. Therefore, the proper name of this toy should be the NCAA Plush Football Dog Toy, Small, University of Oklahoma Sooners. Unless, of course, it is meant for dogs of Cowboys fans, so they can properly show their contempt? Either way, please change the name.
